Cassie Sanchez- Accordion, Trumpet, Songwriter, & Vocals
Growing up in Colorado Springs, CO music has been a large part of her life. All through High School she played Trumpet and maintained first chair trumpet for years as well as being part of All State Choir. All the while she was playing in a ska band called The Ghetto Cherubs. After getting her first Accordion in 2006 she quickly incorporated it into the group.
Joel Ambrosino- Mandolin, Vocals
Joel, a Michigan native joined in the fall of 2010 in response to a call for new members. He grew up playing guitar with his father and friends. Contributing rhythm and lead mandolin Joel channels funk and bluegrass, among other styles, through his mandolin. Whether he is laying down a snappy solo or adding a third part to the harmonies he always enjoys the variety that is part of being a Tourist.
Rebecca Jonas- Cello
Originally from Endwell, New York Rebecca joined the band after seeing the group perform at a New Year's show 2011. Among her 20 years of experience playing cello is performing with The Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Orchestra and more recently in Boulder, Colorado with Carry Me Ohio. Currently she is teaching music for middle schoolers and gives private music lessons.
Samuel Gillet- Drums, Percussion
Hailing from Belgium, Sam makes the group a world class act. Sam has been drumming for 15 years and plays latin, jazz, blues and world beats with The Tourists.
